REASON FOR LOSS:

Engine failure, crash landed on the B-88 airfield (Heesch, Netherlands) during the morning of the 2nd January. Badly burned and died later in hospital. The B-88 airstrip was characterized by the use of P.S.P (Pierced Steel Planks) surfacing due to the severe drainage and consequent mud problems.
