REASON FOR LOSS:
Took-off at1945hrs from East Moor. Last heard by Hull D/R at 2043hrs, at which time the aircraft was in position 5333E 0140N. Putting the aircraft approx 60 miles off Lincoln, England.
F/S David L. Bain rests in Fourfelt cemetery in Esbjerg. His body was brought into Esbjerg harbour on 9/7 and was laid to rest on 12/7-1943.
