REASON FOR LOSS:
This aircraft took off from its base at 00.15 hours and was shot down during combat at 02.00 hours. The bodies of Werner Kasmann and Gerhard Lederer were washed ashore on the Island of Norderney some two weeks later. The body of Werner Rüsenkotter was also washed ashore on the Island four weeks later and was laid to rest with his two comrades on the 27.08.1944.
