REASON FOR LOSS:
Aircraft missing over the North sea, shot down by fighters after being engaged by very heavy A.A. fire from British convoy.
Aircraft took off from its base in Norway at 10.47 hours for a sea reconnaissance mission over the North sea. Radio message from aircraft at 12.15 hours said over British ships and encountering very heavy A.A. fire. One of the crew shouted a warning at 12.30 hours of enemy fighters. No more was heard from them.
