REASON FOR LOSS:
After downing a P-39, baled out too low and was killed. Possibly his aircraft was damaged in combat. This was Ofw Brunner's 53rd victory.
It is worth mentioning two previous incidents regarding this pilot. On the 21.08.42 his aircraft, Me 109F-4 Wnr.10161 suffered engine damage, he baled out near Motewski his aircraft destroyed. Later on the 05.09.42 whilst flying Me 109F-4 Wnr.10144 (Yellow) 7 + - was shot down in combat behind enemy lines and listed by the Staffel as missing in action! Four days later, after a long dangerous walk, Ofw Brunner returned to the Staffel.
