REASON FOR LOSS:
This aircraft took off from base at 22.30 hours on a mission to Malta. At 00.15 hours, a radio message was recieved stating that the aircraft was returning. At 00.45 hours they were still in touch with the aircraft, but after that time no further messages were recieved. A search by other aircraft failed to find any trace of the aircraft or crew.
