REASON FOR LOSS
This aircraft flew into a hillside just above the cliffs at Sennen, Cornwall in bad weather conditions, all four crew members were killed in the crash. Two unexploded 250kg bombs were found in the wreckage.

Ju 88 crashed on 03.07.41 at 1715 hours at Trevilly Farm, half a mile south of Sennen Police Station. Map ref: W.7948.

The plane, in bad visibility apparantly crashed into a hillside and was completely burnt out and wreckage scattered.
Engines:- Jumo 211. Port engine plate shows engines constructed for Junkers F & MW A.G. type 9/221G/1. Works No. MMW.211.G/1/222 by Mitteldeutsche M. W. Toucha (Bei Leipzig). Starboard plate:- Junkers F & MW A.G. type No. 9/211G/1. Works No. Motorenbau Zweigwerk Kothen/Anhalt. 4 MG 15 - 7.9mm (machine guns) salvaged from wreckage and a few pieces of armour plate which appear to be standard.
Crew of 4:- Dead. Owing to the condition of the aircraft no further information can be given.
