REASON FOR LOSS:
This aircraft was shot down in combat with No.72 Squadron Spitfires, possibly that claimed by F/L E. Graham. Crash landed at Hougham where pilot set alight to aircraft. Gefr Schockenhoff baled out and was captured after landing at Alkham.
Gefr Schockenhoff shortly after capture. The British officer and soldier are from the 34th Searchlight Regt. In civilian attire is the Daily Telegraph reporter, Harry Fowler.
