REASON FOR LOSS:
This aircraft was engaged by R.A.F. fighters during Jabo escort sortie over London, engine and radiator damaged during combat. Forced landed north of Saltdean with the pilot being captured unhurt by local farmer and handed over to the police.
The aircraft suffered from the attentions of souvenir hunters. On the collection order dated October 28th is scribbled a pencil note; Revi gunsight. clock and parachute have been removed from aircraft.
