REASON FOR LOSS:
Failed to return, believed shot down at 16.30 by Caesar Hull in a Gloster Gladiator. Nine soldiers lost their lives in the crash including three members of 1.(F)/123 who were detailed to carry out this transfer flight. Six passengers, five from 4/Fallschirm-Regiment 1, Gefr Walter Bellmann, Obgefr Ernst Buttcher, Jaeger Werner Schemmel, Gefr Wilhelm Geiger and Jaeger Harry Ludeke.
