Aircraft Damage Categories (R.A.F)
Category U:- Undamaged following accident / combat.
Category A:- Damaged, repairable on site by operating unit.
Category Ac:- Damaged, repairable on site, but not by operating unit.
Category B:- Damaged, repairable at a maintenance Unit, civilian repair depot or manufacturers.
Category C:- Damaged, repairable to ground instructional status only.
Category E:- Written off, salvage impossible.
Category E1:- Written off, salvage of components possible.
Category E2:- Written off, salvage as scrap possible.
Category Em:- Written off, missing on operational flight.
